William Glenn Whitley, 58, husband of Peggy Strickland Whitley, died Monday, October 26, 2020, at his home. Born on August 24, 1962, in Kershaw, he was a son of the late William Columbus Whitley and the late Elizabeth Young Whitley Hunter. Mr. Whitley was the maintenance supervisor at Millner Estates for many years and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed working with his hands and fellowshipping with family and friends. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; two daughters, Miranda Odom (Jimmy) of Kershaw and Tiffany Carter of Kershaw; one step son, Jessie D. "Trey" Gray, III (Christi) of Summerville; 15 grandchildren, Jamey, Eric, Trisha, Summer, Lane, Maddie, Hailey, Eva, Nevaeh, Jadan, Jace, Jessie, Grayson, Ian and Owen; three sisters, Margaret Williams (Mike) of Kershaw, Roseann Talley (Don) of TX and Linda Stillion (Ron) of OK; four nieces, Amy Hopper (Jef) of Lugoff, Jennifer Wolf (Jason) of TX, Kathy Peter of Clover, and Christina Stillion of UK; seven nephews, Brian Self of WA, Chris Self of WA, Austin Talley of TX, Korey Stillion of OK, Scotty Boston of FL, Marty Boston of Clover, and Aaron Stillion of OK; ten great nieces, Courtney Hearon of Elgin, Alyssa Wolf of TX, Emma Wolf of TX, Kalina Self of WA, Morgan Wilkens of FL, Kelsey Stillion of the US Army, Cheyenne Stillion of the US Marines, Shaniah Stillion of OK, Kyla Stillion of OK, and Skyley Stillion of OK; eight great nephews, Duce Hopper of Lugoff, Darin Self of UT, Jalen Boston of Fort Mill, Jeramy Perlman of ME, Ethan Owen, Brayden Stillion of the US Army, and Thomas Wolf of TX; two special sister in laws, Tonya Bryant (Peewee) of Conway and Vicki Boston of Clover; two special brothers in law, Timothy Strickland, Sr. (Christie) of Florence and David Cleo Strickland (Blonda) of Hemingway; four special nieces, Ashley Pope of Conway, Skylar Pope of Conway, Megan Strickland of Kansas City and Amanda Moore of Georgetown; three special nephews, Timothy Strickland, Jr. of Georgetown, Sam Grier of Hemingway and Mark Strickland, Jr. of TN; two special great nephews, Colton Grier of Hemingway and Mark Strickland, III of TN; a special aunt, Sybil Collins (Nab) of Hemingway; and his companion of service, BabyAnne Whitley. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John Charles Whitley, Daniel Escott “Danny” Boston and Richard Carol "Dicky" Boston; mother in law, Margie Pope and father in law, David C. Strickland, Sr.; and two brothers in law, Tony Pope and Mark Strickland. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, October 29, 2020, in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 2 PM Thursday, October 29, 2020, in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
