Vincenza Vinnie Lupo Benincasa

Vincenza Vinnie Lupo Benincasa, 90, widow of Jack Benincasa, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Born on April 21, 1936, in Queens, NY, she was a daughter of the late Baldassare Lupo and the late Marie Liotta Lupo. Mrs. Benincasa loved spending time with family in South Carolina, Florida and New York. She also found immense joy in the camaraderie of the "Lunch Bunch," a delightful group of ladies who regularly gathered to share meals, stories, and laughter. Beyond her social engagements, Mrs. Benincasa cherished her faith and was a member at Precious Blood Catholic Church.

Unapologetically herself, Mrs. Benincasa was known for her spicy personality and her ability to express her thoughts with honesty. Her unique charm and zest for life left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Whether in church, at a lunch gathering, or in the community, she brought joy and authenticity to every interaction.

The family wants to extend sincere thanks to the amazing volunteers at Neighbor to Neighbor who assisted her for many years. Mrs. Benincasa loved her wonderful neighbors in Litchfield Oaks and The Colony, who started as acquaintances but became family.

Survivors include a son, Philip B. Benincasa (Carol); three grandchildren, Christopher Benincasa (Elyse) of Orlando, FL, Lindsay Malpica Bey (Joshua) of Weston, FL and Justine Malpica Mantilla (Francisco) of Weston, FL; seven great grandchildren, Jasmine, Emileigh, Isabella, Brianna, Ryne, Chase and Myles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Joan Grodzki; and two brothers, Philip Lupo and Vincent Lupo.
