Stewart William Flowers

Stewart William Flowers, age 66, passed away peacefully in his home on October 21, 2025, in Georgetown, SC, surrounded by his loved ones while worshipping the Lord until he went to Heaven. Born on April 26, 1959, Stewart was a man whose intelligence and wit were matched only by his kindness and deep faith in Jesus Christ.

Stewart is survived by his beloved wife, Jan Flowers; his son, Justin (Joanna) Flowers; his daughter, Mallory (Austin) Couch; his cherished grandchildren, Lexi Flowers, Chloe Flowers, and Asher Couch; and he was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his soon-to-be granddaughter, Laurel Couch. Stewart was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Elizabeth Flowers, whose memory he held close to his heart.

Stewart graduated from Wilson High School in Florence, SC, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University. Go Wolfpack! His professional accomplishments reflected his dedication and keen intellect, while his personal life shone with the warmth and creativity he brought to everything he touched.

A dedicated professional, Stewart worked as a nuclear engineer with Duke Energy at the H.B. Robinson Nuclear Power Plant for 35 years. His commitment to his career was surpassed only by his devotion to those he loved and served.

A man of deep faith, Stewart was devoted to his church family where he joyfully played the saxophone, blessing others with the gift of music. He was a true do-it-yourself enthusiast, possessing the rare ability to build anything he set his mind to. The beach was his oasis, and the cherished memories made on the shore.

Stewart will be remembered for the joy he brought to others, his unwavering love for his family, and his strong faith. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, creativity, and warmth that will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 26, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Family Worship Center, 249 Wedgefield Road, Georgetown, SC 29440. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Stewart’s memory and the lasting impact he made on those around him.
