Roberta Owens Cribb, 85, widow of Manning Leon “M.L.” Cribb, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026, at her home.
Born on September 23, 1940, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Carl Edward Owens and the late Margaret Jacobs Yarborough. Mrs. Cribb was a member of First Baptist Church and the Dr. Lide Williams Sunday school class. Her life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to her faith. Mrs. Cribb found immense joy and fulfillment in participating in mission trips, where she dedicated her time and energy to helping those in need, spreading love and sharing her faith with communities around the world.
Beyond her love for mission work, Mrs. Cribb was an avid reader. Her love for reading was a reflection of her desire to learn and grow. Mrs. Cribb enjoyed spending time with her family, creating cherished memories that will be treasured by those she leaves behind. Her warmth, kindness and generous spirit were the foundation upon which her family was built, and her legacy will continue to guide them.
Survivors include two children, Sharon Jackson (Gary) and Keith Cribb (Vicki) all of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Nolan Jackson (Sara) of Myrtle Beach, Courtney Jackson of Hemingway, Lauren Shaw (Scott) of Georgetown and Brandon Cribb (Jazmin) of West Ashley; four great grandchildren, Manning Jackson, Ayden Legoff, Carter Shaw and Porter Lynn Shaw; two sisters, Claradette Beale of Friendswood, TX and Ernestine Natoli (Steve) of Hemingway; one brother, Vernon Owens (Linda) of Johnsonville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emma Grace Jackson; one sister, Deborah Steen; and three brothers, Carl Owens, Claude Owens and Berry Owens.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 PM Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Good Hope Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
