Rev. Themos J Cribb

1938 — December 12, 2017

Rev. Themos Jesse Cribb, 79, beloved husband of Frances Thompson Cribb, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at his home resting in the arms of his devoted wife, the two surrounded by his children and grandchildren, all singing his favorite hymns.

Born on July 25, 1938, in the Pleasant Hill Community, he was one of 9 children born to the late Theophilus Jerome Cribb and the late Susie Owens Cribb. At the age of 11 years old, Rev. Cribb accepted Jesus Christ as his personal ...Lord and Savior. As his faith in the Lord grew stronger, he answered God’s call into the ministry at 13 years old, a journey that would span over six decades.

God’s call to ministry led Rev. Cribb to several different churches to include Indian Hill Baptist Church in Bluffton, Rose Hill Baptist Church, Paran Baptist Church in Lake City, Liberty Baptist Church in Lake City, Tabernacle Baptist Church in Savannah, GA, Ringel Heights Baptist Church and Gourdines Chapel. During his ministry, Rev. Cribb and his family also ministered through singing and evangelizing all over the southeast.

Rev. Cribb enjoyed many things in life that included singing, hunting, fishing, barbequing, spending time with his family, but most of all, he enjoyed sharing the Gospel.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Frances Thompson Cribb of Georgetown; four daughters, Lisa Morgan (Chip), Lori Hurston of Pawleys Island, Amy Newman (David) of Mt.
