Peggy Ann Lytle McCurry

Peggy Ann Lytle McCurry, 92, widow of Vernon McCurry, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at The Crossings of Georgetown.

Mrs. McCurry was born on June 23, 1933, in the Biltmore Village of Asheville, NC, to the late Oren Forrest “O.F.” Lytle and the late Annie Parker Lytle. She was an active member of Edwards Road Baptist Church where she and her husband over saw the singles ministry for many years. Mrs. McCurry enjoyed working in her yard and cooking. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be dearly missed.

Survivors include one son, Jerry L. McCurry (Kelly) of Pawleys Island; a daughter-in-law, Brenda McCurry of Greer; five grandchildren, Tarah Taylor (Jason) of Greer, Tierce McCurry (Stephanie) of Greer, Logan McCurry (Ella) of Travelers Rest, Austin McCurry (Kelly) of Georgetown and Blake McCurry (Lizzi) of Awendaw; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Paul McCurry; and three sisters, Mary Margaret Riggins, Polly Lytle Salzman and Helen Harmon Phifer.

Services will be held at a later date in Greenville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Edwards Road Baptist Church, 1050 Edwards Rd. Greenville, SC 29615.
