Paula Robbe Wilson, 77, wife of Lynn Wood Wilson, transitioned to her Heavenly home on Sunday afternoon, March 12, 2023.
Born on January 3, 1946, in Birmingham, AL, she was the daughter of the late Wynell Curl Robbe and the late Paul Robbe. Mrs. Wilson was a member of First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, worked with the children’s choir, and was a member of the Potter’s Wheel Sunday School class. She was a 1964 graduate of Andrews High School where she was chosen as Miss Gold and Black in 1963. Mrs. Wilson also was a graduate of the first class of dental hygiene at the Medical College of Georgia and worked as a dental hygienist for 30 years.
Mrs. Wilson had a great love for music and was an accomplished pianist and soloist. She was a devout GAMECOCK fan, enjoyed her beloved fur baby Maggie, and loved being “Mimi” to her beloved granddaughters, spoiling them with love and pound cakes.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Lynn Wood Wilson of Georgetown; one daughter, Jessica Wilson Crosland (Matt) of Columbia; and two granddaughters, Mattie Crosland and Emme Crosland both of Columbia.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at First Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
