Patricia N. Mincey

Patricia Nelson Mincey, 81, widow of Horace B. “H.B.” Mincey, Jr., passed away Thursday, June 12, 2026, at her home.

Born on February 8, 1945, in Knoxville, TN, she the daughter of the late Samuel H. “Red” Nelson, Jr. and the late Ruth Hensley Nelson. Mrs. Mincey was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church and retired from International Paper Company after 24 years of service. In her spare time, Mrs. Mincey enjoyed watercolor painting, reading and most of all spending time with her family.

Survivors include three children, Kelly Hatfield of Georgetown, Gary R. Hatfield of Maryville, TN and Horace B. “Ben” Mincey, III of Surfside Beach,; seven grandchildren, Aaron Hatfield, Ashley Carr, CJ Strickland, Courtney Strickland (Robin), Keziah Mincey, Michael Mincey and Gabriel Mincey; two great grandchildren, Cayden Carr and Camden Carr; a special cousin, Diane Nelson of Corryton, TN; a special sister-in-law, Brenda Bessinger of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Entombment with following Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday at the church.
