Nancy Moore Johnson

Nancy Moore Johnson, 93, widow of Billy M. Johnson, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Windrush of Garden City.

Born on January 31, 1933, in Charlotte, NC, she was a daughter of the late Floyd Moore and the late Maggie Moore. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church where she once served on several committees. She enjoyed baking for her family and friends, always finding joy in bringing a little sweetness to those around her. Mrs. Johnson had a special way of caring for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Survivors include two children, Kim Johnson of Myrtle Beach and Chris Johnson (Trina) of South Port, NC; two grandchildren, Skylar Blalock (Gage) of South Port, NC and Sydney Johnson of South Port, NC; one sister, Barbara Johnson (Joe) of Bristol, VA; two nieces, Mitzie Blackwell (Dan) of Boiling Springs and Myra Dills (Doug) of Chesnee; and two nephews, James Edelen of Richmond, VA and Richard Edelen (Janice) of Richmond, VA.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Lakewood Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lakewood Baptist Church, 171 Lakewood Ave. Georgetown, SC 29440.
