Myron H. Smith

Myron Harley Smith, 78, husband of Sandra West Smith, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at his home.

Born on June 3, 1947, in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late James Harley Smith and the late Louise Johnson Smith. Mr. Smith was a retired lab technician from International Paper and attended Fireside Ministries. He had a great love for fishing and playing the guitar. Mr. Smith loved his family and enjoyed spending time with, especially his nieces, great nieces and great nephew.

Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; a daughter-in-law, Angie Smith of Georgetown; three special great nieces, Savannah J. Ard, Summer Goings (Randall Addison) of Georgetown and Cortley Bone of Georgetown; one great-great nephew, RJ Addison; four great-great nieces, Kari Addison, KB Addison, Kmaloni Addison and Raeloni Addison; a sister-in-law, Marcia Goings of Georgetown; special aunts, Wilma Silva of Charleston and Joyce Mitchell of Hemingway.

He was preceded in death by a son, Myron H. Smith, Jr.; a brother, David Smith; two nieces, Karen Biddy and Michelle Goings; a great niece, Cameron Oviedo; mother-in-law, Marjie Owens; and two brothers-in-law, Linwood Goings and Jenks West.

An inurnment service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends following the service at the home.
