Matthew Adam Summers, 41, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Conway Medical Center. Born on October 2, 1983, in Georgetown, he was the son of the late Deborah Jean Bertrand Summers and James Summers. Mr. Summers was a passionate gamer who enjoyed exploring virtual worlds, honing his skills and sharing his passion for gaming with a close-knit community of other gamers. Survivors include aunts and uncles, Virginia Lang of Hampton, VA, Thomas Bertrand (Karen) of Rockland, CA, Cathy Edwards (Richard) of Palatine, IL, Lisa Edwards (Jerry) of Lindenhurst, IL, Mary Bidlack (Kevin) of Walworth, WI, Michael Bertrand (Brenda) of Elgin, IL and Sheila Summers of Charleston; special cousins, James Lang of Hampton, VA, Jason Lang (Lori) of Hampton, VA and Sherry Bond (Michael) of Charleston; and numerous other cousins.
