Mary Katherine Dickson Inman, 83, widow of Wayne Inman, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
Born on April 12, 1943, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Plowden Dickson, Sr. and the late Katherine Margaret Sugg Dickson. Mrs. Inman was a devoted member of Lakewood Baptist Church, where she faithfully served on several committees. She was also a proud member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and an original member of the Round Table group at Nana’s Restaurant. Mrs. Inman enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially camping and working in her yard. She found great joy in staying busy and spending time with those she loved. Above all, Mrs. Inman cherished her family. Her children and grandchildren were the greatest joys in her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Smith of Georgetown; seven grandchildren, Joshua Inman, Summer Inman, Heather Smith (Tres Long) and Joey Smith (Anne Kennedy) all of Georgetown; nine great grandchildren; Tyler Long (Maddison Cook), Gavin Long, Sarah Long (Slayder Tilton), Gabriella Inman, Hayden Inman, Carli Smith, Harli Smith, Asher Smith, Braxton McConnell; four great-great grandchildren, Jon Brian Long, Ella Long, Paisley Long and JC Cook; one brother-in-law, Larry Inman (Patsy) of Conway; two sisters-in-law, Janet Haigh (Stuart) of Conway and Rosslyn Dickson of James Island; a special friend, Linda Hardee of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, George Inman; one grandson, Jon Smith; and two brothers, Charlie Dickson and Plowden Dickson, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Lakewood Baptist Church. Burial will be at 11 AM Monday, August 31, 2026, in the Manning Cemetery, Manning, SC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakewood Baptist Church, 171 Lakewood Ave. Georgetown, SC 29440
