Marsha Miller Isaac Wilson, 74, of Georgetown, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026.
Marsha was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, remembered for her warmth, strength, and deep love for her family. She shared a lifelong bond with her husband, Johnny Wilson, who was also her best friend since childhood. She graduated from Winyah High School in 1969, where she was a member of the “Fine Nine,” and then attended Winthrop College.
Marsha was a loving and dedicated mother who devoted herself fully to raising her children, prioritizing her role as a mother until they were grown. She began her professional career at the South Carolina State House, where she served for six years as a Legislative Aide and Democratic Caucus Bookkeeper. She later dedicated 15 years of service to the Georgetown County School District as a bookkeeper. She was affectionately known as “Miss Froggy” by the students at Maryville Elementary, reflecting the kindness and joy she extended to those around her. She also spent several summers volunteering at Camp Happy Days, a camp for children living with cancer, and helped establish Grace Church, a Sunday school for special needs children at First Baptist Church in Georgetown, South Carolina.
Marsha’s life was grounded in a strong and enduring faith. She was a devoted Catholic while raising her children and later became a member of Center Baptist Church in Hemingway, where her faith remained an important part of her life. Following retirement, Marsha and her husband settled along the Black River. She especially cherished time spent there with her family, particularly when her children and grandchildren gathered at the river.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cornelia Rowe Miller Rodgers; her father, J. D. Miller, Sr.; and her brothers, J. D. Miller, Jr. and Charles Rowe Miller.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Wilson; her children, Rory Isaac (Julia) and Jennifer Isaac Thomas (Jay); Joe Wilson (Christina); her sister-in-law, Vida Miller; and her beloved grandchildren, Isaac, Rosie, Sam, Emilee and Whit along with many other extended family members and dear friends.
A service will be held at 2 PM Friday, May 1, 2026, at Center Baptist Church, Hemingway, South Carolina. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m.
