Kathryn Louise Todd Green, 68, wife of Hugh Purvis Green, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, at her daughter’s home.
Born on September 10, 1956, in Kansas City, MO she was a daughter of Robert “Bob” Thorpe and the late Kathleen Jeanette Sparks Thorpe. Mrs. Green grew up in Kansas City, MO where she played the violin in Kansas City Youth Sympathy. She began her career at Oneita Industries, in Andrews, as a seamstress. Her hard work and dedication later led her to become a well-respected engineer with the sewing plant. After her time at Oneita, Mrs. Green went on to work at Mansfield Plantation as the Inn Keeper. Dedicated to her job, she made sure the guests were comfortable and well fed (with her own recipes). Her love, attention to detail and dedication to her job and to the guest that she hosted were evident from the countless testimonials left by the visitors. Mrs. Green spent most of her time working, but on the rare occasion that she was off, she enjoyed playing BINGO. She was a woman of integrity and love, and her ultimate sacrifice was to her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
