Judy B. Norris

Judy B. Norris, 82, widow of Adolph “Dock” Norris, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, at Prince George Health Care.

Mrs. Norris was born on August 13, 1943, in Warsaw, NC, to the late David John Best and the late Nellie Elizabeth Taylor Best. She was a dedicated member of Georgetown First Assembly of God where she served as a former Sunday school teacher and a part of the Women’s Ministries. Mrs. Norris was a vital part of Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens for more than 25 years until her retirement. She had a great love for serving in her church and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include three daughters, Shelia Walters (David) of Camden, Beth Norris of Georgetown and Renee Hewitt (Joey) of Lexington; two grandchildren, Brandon Mau (Sandra) of Kansas City, KS and Bethany Hewitt of Huntington Beach, CA; three great grandchildren, Kinley Mau, Bayley Mau and Aiden Hall; one brother, Pearson Best (Sarah) of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Sarah Helms (Ronnie) of Charlotte, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Best; a sister-in-law, Dixie Best.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Georgetown First Assembly of God. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
