Jeffrey Allen Moore, Sr., 74, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Born on March 6, 1952, in Andrews, he was a son of the late John Decatur “Pete” Moore. Sr. and the late Helen Goldie Wheeler Moore. Mr. Moore was a member of Earle Methodist Church and retired from International Paper Company after more than 25 years of service. He was involved in a variety of business ventures throughout his life, including a car wash, a laundromat, and a screen-printing business. Mr. Moore was a man of many talents—whether it was fixing things or simply enjoying hands-on work. He was also a core member of the “Moore Coffee Crew,” where he’d spend hours solving the world’s problems, sharing fond memories, and catching up on the latest local news. Mr. Moore was a devoted Carolina Gamecock fan and enjoyed NASCAR as well.
Survivors include one son, Jeffery Moore, Jr. (Angel) of Summerville; two daughters, Kristin Moore Gaskins (William "Scooter") and Ashley Moore Boyce (Clint) all of Andrews; seven grandchildren, Taytum Moore, Braelyn Smith-Moore, Madison Gaskins, Maddox Gaskins, Manning Gaskins, Jaxyn Boyce and Kru Boyce; one great grandchild, Brigston Dunford; four brothers, John D. Moore, Jr. (Judy) of Andrews, James "Jimmy" Moore of Andrews, William A. "Tony" Moore (Isabel) of Andrews and Michael W. Moore of Andrews; two sisters, Patricia M. Rogerson of Georgetown and Debbie M. Cox (Roger) of Andrews; one sister-in-law, Mary Lou Moore of Andrews; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gregg Moore and Tim E. Moore; one sister, Teresa M. Byrd; one sister-in-law, Gail Moore; and two nieces, Cheryl Moore and Marcy Potterfield.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Earle Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to Earle Methodist Church.
