Jeffery Wayne Anderson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on the 18th of August 2025 after a courageous battle with illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. Jeffery was 63 years old.
Born on January 4, 1962, in Loris, South Carolina, Jeffery was a man of great strength, quiet wisdom, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His life was marked by deep commitment to his family and a quiet generosity that touched all who knew him.
A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Georgetown, Jeffery lived out his faith with quiet humility and compassion. He found strength in his relationship with God and comfort in the fellowship of his church family.
Jeffery had a lifelong passion for baseball and softball. For more than 40 years, he gave his time and heart to the game as a coach and umpire, mentoring generations of young athletes both on and off the field. Whether calling a close play or offering words of encouragement from the dugout, Jeffery brought integrity, patience, and joy to every game. His presence at the ballpark was not only respected—it was cherished.
Outside of the ballfield, Jeffery was an avid racing fan who found great joy in go-kart racing and NASCAR. He never missed a race if he could help it, and he loved the excitement, competition, and community the sport brought into his life.
Jeffery is survived by his devoted wife, Heather Anderson; his children, Craig Anderson (Kristi), Zachary Anderson (Jonne), Evan Anderson, and Mallory Anderson; and his cherished grandchildren, Shelden Anderson, Karlyn Anderson, Evelyn Anderson, and Sophia Anderson. Jeffery is also survived by his loving brothers, Charles Anderson (Sharon) and Brian Mixson (Angie); his nieces and nephews, Jordan Mixson (Kristen), Luke Mixson (Kayleigh), Mary Grace Mixson, Johnathan Anderson, and Lindsey Anderson; as well as a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jeffery was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Wayne Anderson; his mother, Bonnie Faye Anderson; and his sister, Michelle Anderson. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.
He also held a special place in his heart for his beloved Mother and Father in-law Cindy and Donald Mixson who helped and cared for him during his time of Illness.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, his warm presence, and the strong example he set as a husband, father, and grandfather. Jeffery’s legacy lives on in the lives he shaped and the love he gave so freely.
The service will be held with close family and friends and First Baptist Church on Saturday August 23, 2025. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm and the service will follow at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Jeffery’s memory by sharing time with your loved ones and treasuring every moment together.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the hospice care team for their kindness, compassion, and exceptional care during Jeffery’s final days. Their support brought great comfort to both Jeffery and those who loved him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
