James W. Moore, Sr.

James Winfield Moore, Sr., 85, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Arbor Landing at Pawleys.

Born on July 15, 1941, in Williamsburg County, he was a son of the late John D. Moore and the late Goldie Helen Wheeler Moore. Mr. Moore was a United States Army veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including fishing, working in his yard, and cooking for those he loved. Above all, Mr. Moore cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured by his family for years to come. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Survivors include three children, Kayren Evans (Phillip) of Mt. Pleasant, Michelle Baudet (Marc) of Pawleys Island and Jay Moore (Melissa) of Andrews; five grandchildren, Baker Evans, Alden Evans, Emma Grace Baudet, Chason Moore and Brody Moore; two sisters, Patricia Rogerson of Georgetown and Debbie Cox (Roger) of Georgetown; three brothers, John Moore (Judy), Tony Moore (Isabel) and Michael Moore all of Andrews; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Moore of Andrews; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Teresa Byrd; three brothers, Tim Moore, Jeff Moore and Greg Moore.

A memorial service will be held at 6 PM Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Earle Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Earle Methodist Church, 2180 Earle Rd. Andrews, SC 29510
