James Edward “Jimmy” Jacobs, Jr., 56, husband of Laura Suzanne Carter Jacobs, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
Born on September 28, 1969, in Myrtle Beach, Mr. Jacobs was the son of the late James Edward Jacobs, Sr. and Wanda Barnhill “Cookie” Jacobs. He attended Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church and previously attended Maryville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Jacobs enjoyed outdoor activities, including riding four wheelers and boating. He was known for his diverse talents and dedication to various projects. Above all, Mr. Jacobs valued family time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, and regularly engaged in playing FORTNITE with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Laura Suzanne Carter Jacobs of Georgetown; his mother, Wanda Barnhill "Cookie" Jacobs of Georgetown; two children, James Edward “Lee” Jacobs, III (Casey) and Brook Jacobs (Austin White-keffer) all of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Carter Jacobs, Layla Brooke Perkins, Alexander Jacobs and Brandon White-keffer; one sister, Misty Jacobs of Georgetown; five nieces, Christin, Loretta, Samantha, Elaine and Savannah; two nephews, Isaac and Tristan; two sisters-in-law, Regina Carter (Joey Howard) and Betty Bone; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Jacobs, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Edelle Jacobs and Betty Jacobs; maternal grandparents, Joe Barnhill and Doc Barnhill; mother-in-law, Earline Carter; and father-in-law, Raymond Lee Carter.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Saturday at Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church.
