Jerome Holt

Howard Jerome Holt, 77, husband of Debby Holt, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025, at Brunswick Memorial Hospital.

Born on March 22, 1948, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late Harvey B. Holt and the late Florine Elliott Holt. Formerly of Murrells Inlet, Mr. Holt and his wife, Debby, moved to Georgia. Mr. Holt was a veteran of the United States Airforce and retired from Santee Cooper after 36 years of service. He was a member of Maryville Pentecostal Holiness Church and a devoted Christian. Mr. Holt had a great love for vintage cars and had a huge collection of die-cast cars.

Survivors include his wife of Georgia; two step-sons; Deryck Haynam and Shaun Haynam (Jessica) of Florida; two step-granddaughters, Jemma Kale and Raegan Haynam of Florida; two sisters, Brenda Coleman (Bill) and Ruby Fleming of Georgetown; a brother, Jimmy Holt (Adrie) of Georgetown; one brother in law, Paul Redmond of Murrells Inlet; one sister in law, Wanda Holt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pamela Goins Holt; two sisters, Helen Redmond and Alice Faye Holt; one brother, Charles Wendell Holt; and two brothers in law, Irving Fleming and Teddy Barrineau.

An inurnment service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
