Hallie Rose Thompson

Hallie Rose Thompson, 23, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026, at Trident Medical Center.

Born on August 29, 2002, in Sumter, she was a daughter of Edward Wayne Thompson, Jr. and Marie Newman Thompson. Hallie had a special love for horses and enjoyed dressing up and doing her makeup, always taking pride in expressing her own unique style. Her greatest joy, however, was the time she spent with her daughter. Their bond was special and filled with love, laughter, and memories that will be cherished forever. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love of life, and the beautiful way she loved those closest to her. Hallie leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her mother and father of Sumter; one daughter, Hadley Scott Thompson of Sumter; maternal grandfather, Kenny Newman of Sumter; paternal grandparents, Wayne Thompson and Sandy Thompson of Turbeville; one sister, Hanna-Grace Thompson of Sumter; one brother, Henley Thompson of Sumter; one nephew, Cohen Huber of Sumter; one aunt, Michelle Mitchum (Curtis) of Rock Hill; one uncle, Christopher Thompson (Leah) of Aynor; and numerous other special family members.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Pam Scott Newman.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Zoar Church.

The family will receive friends following the service and other times at 2600 Bertha Circle Sumter, SC 29153
