Carl Patterson Squires, 77, widower of Harriet Carolyn Casselman Squires, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021, at his home. Mr. Squires was born on January 30, 1944, in Mullins, a son of the late Junior Patterson Squires and the late Sarah Elizabeth Reynolds Squires. He was US Army veteran and a was member of Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church, where served as a former deacon. Mr. Squires had a great love for riding motorcycles, oystering and shrimping. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Squires Cook (Scott Cook) of Georgetown and Melissa Squires Clemons (Jason) of Pawleys Island; and four grandsons, James Patrick Williams, Andrew Parker Williams, Jackson Franklin Clemons and Hudson Reed Clemons all of Pawleys Island. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael O. Squires. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church with Rev. Louis Imsande officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Holsclaw Fellowship Hall. Memorials may be made to Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church, 9967 Ocean Hwy.
