Bobby Cox

Bobby R. Cox, 68, son of the late Shorty and Patsy Cox, departed this life on Saturday, November 1, 2025, after a brief battle with Leukemia.

Bobby was born on November 11, 1956. He spent most of his early life in Andrews and was well known for his love of hunting and fishing. Along with his love for the outdoors, his neighborhood and his family, Bobby loved children. He treated every child as if they were his own, even teaching many of them how to ride a bike.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Cooper Cox of Georgetown; two daughters, Stacy Goins of Socastee and Tracy Howard (Brian) of Andrews; a son, Kevin Cooper (Claire) of Pawleys Island; two step-sons, Brian Cooper and Randell Cooper (Caroline) all of Georgetown; one step-daughter, Angel Vause of Georgetown; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one devoted sister, Patricia Walters (Lee) of Andrews; one brother, Jack E. Cox of Andrews; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shorty and Patsy Cox; a grandson, Joel Vause; a son-in-law, Dwayne Goins; and a very special aunt and uncle, Iris and Marion Newton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank the Owens, Northrup, Bone and Wilder families for the loving care that was shown to Bobby and his family throughout his sickness. Their love and support will never be forgotten.
