Bert Allen Moore, 79, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Embrace Hospice House.
Born on October 10, 1946, in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late Allen James Moore and the late Vernell Lambert Moore. Mr. Moore retired from Georgetown Steel after more than 25 years of dedicated service. He also proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard. Mr. Moore enjoyed spending time outdoors and being on the river. An avid sports fan, Mr. Moore loved watching Clemson and cheering on the Tigers. He also enjoyed watching television and keeping up with current events and the latest news. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family
Survivors include two sons, Michael Moore (Chrissy) of Ridgeway and Kevin Moore of Pawleys Island; six grandchildren, Alaina Stone (Jack) of Cayce, Shaine Moore of Charleston, Levi Moore of Ridgeway, Bailey Moore of Myrtle Beach, Avery Moore of Mills River, NC and Riley Moore of Mills River, NC; two sisters, Gail Lambert of Georgetown and Kim Moore of Jamestown; one brother, Heyward Moore (Judy) of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Frankie Moore; and a brother-in-law, Leo Lambert.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, October 4, 2026, in the Lambert Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the graveside, following the service.
