Bernelle Norris

Bernelle Griffin Norris, 97, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Georgetown after four years with dementia.

Mrs. Norris was born in Bamberg, SC, a daughter of the late Berry and Annie Lee Griffin. She was the last living student from the 1944 graduating class at Bamberg Erhardt High School. Mrs. Norris was a graduate of Southern Business College in Atlanta, GA and was a bookkeeper.

She was the wife of Clarence Norris, who passed away in 2013. Mrs. Norris was a resident of Greensboro, NC and Gibsonville, NC before moving to Georgetown, SC to live with her daughter Beryl Norris and son-in-law, LJ.

Interment will be private.

The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice for the loving care they provided Mrs. Norris over the last 2 months.
